DIAMPS

The DIAMPS project, funded by Eurostars, builds upon the success of the MAS project with the aim of advancing dielectric sensing technology. The project focuses on refining microwave signal analysis and enhancing software algorithms to deliver reliable and reproducible results in dielectric sensing. This cutting-edge technology offers a non-invasive, radiation-free alternative to traditional imaging techniques like X-rays and CT scans, using electromagnetic waves to ensure safe and frequent use, especially in preventive care.

Dielectric sensing has proven its value in early applications for stroke detection and breast cancer screening. DIAMPS extends its impact by applying this technology to muscle health assessment, enabling precise measurement of muscle mass and tissue composition. The portability and cost-effectiveness of dielectric sensing further enhance its utility, making it ideal for point-of-care theranostics—devices that diagnose and adjust treatments in real time.

By delivering frequent, accurate assessments, dielectric sensing promotes a proactive approach to health management, helping reduce care fragmentation and enabling timely interventions. This innovation supports both population-wide screening and individual patient monitoring, offering significant benefits for managing chronic conditions and bridging gaps in the healthcare system.

As the healthcare landscape evolves towards preventive and personalized medicine, DIAMPS positions dielectric sensing at the forefront, providing a transformative tool to improve patient outcomes, reduce healthcare costs, and enhance the quality of life for millions.
